Adventure Boot Camp is the new form of exercise that everyone is talking about and I have been privileged enough to attend four of these wonderful camps and I love it!!! I am the type pf person who would shy away from the gym rather than considering any kind of exercise program (excluding competitive sports). I heard about Adventure Boot Camp and persuaded an adventurous friend to come along with me and give it a try and I have never looked back.
My philosophy is that there is an exercise program out there for each and every person and you need to keep exploring until you find the right one for you. Take me for instance, if you had told me 4 months ago that I wouls find a program where I get up at 5:30 in the morning (by choice) to train and I would have laughed at you. Adventure Boot Camp is definitely the most interesting way I have ever exercised and I am hooked.
One thing I really love about Boot Camp is that you train at your own pace. A lot of the exercises will be done for 30 seconds and not necessarily a set amount of repetitions. So if you can do 20 sit-ups in one minute, you will probably do 50% more by the end of camp, and if you can do more, then go for it.
And don’t even try tell me that you are unfit / too old / not a morning person cos let me tell you we have the most inspirational woman at our morning sessions who is 70 yrs old (yes you heard right) and if she can do it, then I bet you can 🙂 Every time I think that I cannot possibly do any more, I see her up in the front and I get going again. And you will even make some special friends along the way…
