Image Recognition Software

For your brand, this means exposure to more image-based data than ever before. Social media users have fully-embraced the concept of sharing photos alongside or in place of text. An image shared, which includes your brand logo but no mention, has to be identified. It has to be monitored. A positive image, you've found yourself some great user-generated content. A negative image, you need to do damage limitation. Quickly.

  1. A photo recognition software can be vital in helping you keep your premises safe, and here’s how: Identifying who’s coming in and out can help protect your family and friends–or even your employees if you own a business–from harm by recognizing each individual outside your gates before they enter the premises.
  2. What is Image Recognition Software? An image recognition software is a computer program that can identify objects, people, places, writing, and actions in images or video. The technology is used in many applications and is the creation of a neural network that processes all the pixels that make up an image.
  3. Joint image recognition and geometry reasoning offers mutual benefits. The 3D layout determined from geometric reasoning can help to guide recognition in instances of unseen perspectives, deformations, and appearance. It can also eliminate unreasonable semantic layouts and help in recognizing categories defined by their 3D shape or functions.

Evidence of this real-life explosion of, “a picture is worth a thousand words” can be seen in the growing popularity of photo-based social media platforms such as Snapchat. Q2 2020, Snapchat had 238 million daily active users worldwide. Up from 203 million global DAU in the same quarter of 2019.

The ability to identify, analyze, and exploit this growing trend is essential. With the future of digital marketing dominated by visual data - image recognition technology has to exist. Without it, you're missing out on a whole heap of valuable data. Data that shows where your product is used, i.e., drinking your beer at the beach, eating your pizza on the terrace, etc. Data that shows how consumers are using your product and whether they're crying out for features that you're not providing, but that your competitors are. So much data!

In this post, I'm going to list some awesomeimage recognition tools. They have different features, capabilities, and prices. I've included Talkwalker's proprietary image recognition technology - more details later - because IMHO it's the best. Accuracy levels and ease of use, ensure it stands out from the crowd.

Over a 30-day period, the DHL logo was detected close to 10,000 times.

The image above shows the huge variety of DHL logos being shared or seen online. From DHL marketing campaigns to advertising banners at race tracks.

In this instance, a filter was used to only find images that included a reference to F1/Formula 1 in the text. Almost 18% - 1800 mentions - included reference to F1/Formula 1. Of these images, only 8 referenced DHL.

Meaning?

The DHL logo is strongly linked to F1. These impressions - 1800 mentions - would have been missed if only the text had been monitored.

What a waste!

Image recognition is the creation of a neural network that processes all the pixels that make up an image. These networks are presented with heaps of images of objects - already identified - so that the network can learn and recognize similar objects.

For instance, AI would be shown thousands of images of shoes. The AI would learn what images of shoes should contain. Show an image of an elephant, and the artificial intelligence would compare all the pixels in the elephant image to all the images of shoes it's seen. Finding no or few matches, the AI would recognize the object as an elephant.

Image Recognition Software Meaning

Do you want to make sure that your property is safe and that you know everyone who comes in and out?

A photo recognition software can be vital in helping you keep your premises safe, and here’s how:

  • Identifying who’s coming in and out can help protect your family and friends–or even your employees if you own a business–from harm by recognizing each individual outside your gates before they enter the premises.
  • It will also help you identify theft, helping you spot who did come in and commit the crime for cameras planted inside. Even in complete darkness, the Face Recognition Software will identify you so you don’t need to worry about ninjas blending in the background unless they are, of course, wearing masks.
  • With the use of CCTV, a photo recognition program can significantly make your environments more secure. It makes you much more knowledgeable and aware of the people treading around. Sure, the excess use of a photo recognition software may sound like a bad case of paranoia, but it’s best to be safe than sorry.
  • Even in the simplest of situations, a decent photo recognition can help you know who’s doing what, how they’re doing it, and when.
